Simon Fox
Simon Fox has over twenty years Sales and Sales management experience in the technology sector. In recent years he has opened up the European market for a range of US technology companies operating in a variety of fields. Simon's core skills lie in his ability to successfully exploit new market opportunities where cash and human resources are limited.
Simon instigated and executed a management buy-out whilst working at The Software Forge Limited after spending a number of years managing European new business development for Racal Datacom; formally part of the Racal Electronics group. Before founding GlobalXtend, Simon had been successful in opening up the European market for a wide range of organisations including Insignia Solutions Inc., VoxWare Inc., Tricom (now part of Intel), Firefox Limited (FTP Inc.), Tao Group, Vocalis Limited and VideoServer Inc.
Utilising his extensive practical experience Simon founded GlobalXtend in 2003 with a view to positively addressing the very real challenges US companies face when expanding their operations internationally.
Nigel Clarke
Nigel Clarke brings over 18 years pan-EMEA sales experience. Prior to joining GlobalXtend Nigel successfully marketed and sold a variety of complex software solutions direct to Enterprise/Telco end-customers and in-direct via SI, VAR and OEM channels. Senior pan-EMEA sales management roles include Mitsubishi Electric Group, Lattice Group PLC, Intellisync Inc. (now part of Nokia) and most recently Executive Vice President at Dexterra Inc. where he successfully built their pan-EMEA sales, marketing and support operations.
Nigel's outstanding work ethic, man management skills and tenacity has proved highly successful in achieving rapid EMEA market penetration and growth for a number of early stage US technology companies. His strong 'can do' attitude and demonstrable track record has helped Nigel become a highly respected driving force within the next generation mobile & wireless technology community.
Roy Joseph
Roy Joseph is a co-founder of GlobalXtend and now acts as a special advisor to the core management team. His core expertise relates to early stage international market development, primarily for organisations operating in the systems software and complex technology sectors. Roy has strong market knowledge in the broad mobile arena and is currently co-founder of two organisations operating in the mobile content/advertising space.
Roy has previously held senior management and consultancy positions with a variety of US organisations including VoxWare, Novell, Symantec, FTP Inc. and until recently was co-founder of US based Nellymoser corporation.
Alan Cohen
Alan Cohen has over twenty years experience in pan-European sales and sales management. Beginning his sales career at Xerox, Alan subsequently held senior management positions at Philips and Network Associates. In recent years he has successfully created a sustained European presence for several US technology companies looking for their first entry into the European market.
Alan has now become exceedingly adept at recruiting the right individuals for specific roles. Throughout his career, Alan has deployed and developed pan-European sales organisations, generating significant revenue streams for several European start-up organisations. Prior to joining GlobalXtend, Alan was Global Sales Director for a private European integrated access provider.
Phil Smithers
Phil Smithers has over 25 years sales experience within the broad technology space. During this time he has worked in senior management positions for a number of national, international and Global corporations.
Beginning his sales career with Kodak, Phil subsequently held senior management positions with Cray Electronics and Wyse Technologies where as Senior Vice President for Europe, he managed 155 people across nine international locations. More recently he has been running a highly successful business advisory operation tutoring senior executives on how to maximise success through structured growth. Phil 's strong man management skills and extensive experience in winning complex multi million pound global contracts make him an ideal inclusion to the GlobalXtend team.
Howard Revens
Howard Revens brings over 20 years pan-EMEA solution sales experience across a broad range of technologies and industry sectors.
Howard spent his early career within the telecommunications sector holding senior sales positions with both Racal Datacom and Summa Four Corporation. This was followed by a successful period with SITA Equant where he managed corporate sales and bid teams responsible for $80m+ annual targets. later Howard led a multinational corporate sales team at Global Crossing successfully closing a number of significant contracts with large IT and pharmaceutical organisations.
For the past 5 years Howard has specialised in assisting niche technology companies operating in the software solutions and service provider sectors successfully open up their EMEA operations. Companies include CellTracker, Vanguard MS, Pivetal Ltd and most recently CounterPath Corporation of Vancouver. His demonstrable success in these recent roles coupled with his strong corporate background make him a perfect addition to the growing GlobalXtend team. Howard holds a B.Sc in Business Studies from the University of Bradford.
Duncan Carmichael
Duncan Carmichael is a welcome addition to the GlobalXtend team bringing a wealth of experience in the biotechnology and science arena's. With nearly 20 spent in the United States, Duncan has first hand experience of the issues US companies face when looking to expand their operations into the EMEA region.
Originally trained a chemist, Duncan's early career included technical roles at both GSK and ICI chemicals. During his time in the US Duncan held senior sales and marketing positions with Varian Inc in California and Thermo Electron in Texas. A key additional benefit to GlobalXtend is Duncan's 6 years US based business development experience in executive search assignments focusing specifically on US biotechnology and science companies seeking an initial EMEA bridge head.
Alan McKendry
Alan McKendry has over fifteen years experience in both start-up and blue chip organisations. His core skills include business development,
creating /managing sales teams, solutions sales and consulting. Alan has held a number of senior positions with Hewlett Packard at both country and regional levels including EMEA Client Director responsible for a $140m+ portfolio of telecom's and media accounts.
More recent successes include two turn-around CEO roles in Eastern Europe plus a number of consultative angel investments. Alan is an Irish national currently resident in Prague and in recent years has lived and worked in multiple Eastern European countries. He holds a BA (Hons) in commerce with specialisation in IS/IT, a postgraduate in Strategic Marketing and member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (MCIM).
